MAGNETOS & COILS
Fuller & Johnson regularly equipped their engines with battery and
coil ignition. Several makes and models were used and these
changed over the years as the oem came out with new and improved models.
To free the end user of having to muck about with batteries Fuller &
Johnson offered dynamos and magnetos on nearly all of
their engines, for an extra charge of course. Some larger engines
still required starting batteries even if magneto equipped. As
time went on magnetos were increasingly offered as standard equipment.
The purchaser could deduct a certain amount if they wanted a battery
with coil instead of a magneto.
