Rawleigh Schryer

Two American companies were know to produce the Farm Pump Engine in some quantity. Rawleigh Schryer of Freeport, Illinois built an engine that resembled the model JA called the "Puritan". There were differences between the two but it is clear that the Fuller & Johnson engine was the basis for the reproduction. The gears were outside the crankcase and an igniter was used for ignition. It was an unusual variation to say the least.

Factory Illustration of the Puritan

In this view it's very clear the FPE was the basis for the Puritan

The Puritan still retained the FPE's auxiliary exhaust port
